DR. GILBERTO GOMEZ ROSAS

El Dr. Gilberto Gómez Rosas es profesor Investigador de tiempo completo, titular C del Departamento de Física del Centro Universitario de Ciencias Exactas e Ingenierías (CUCEI) de la Universidad de Guadalajara, en Guadalajara, Jalisco, México. Es Ingeniero en Electrónica por el Instituto Tecnológico de Celaya, Gto México (1994) y obtuvo su Doctorado en Ciencias (Óptica) en el Centro de Investigaciones en Óptica en León Gto México en el año 1999 bajo la dirección del Dr. Daniel Malacara Hernández. Realizó una estancia posdoctoral en el Centro Láser de la Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, UPM, Madrid España del 2001 al 2002. Desde el año 2000 es miembro del Sistema Nacional de Investigadores (SNI), actualmente en el nivel I. Tiene un índice H de 12, más de 50 artículos publicados en revistas JCR, 2 libros y más de 900 citas. Ha dirigido más de 25 tesis en licenciatura, maestría y doctorado. Su trabajo se enfoca en metrología óptica de superficies, tratamiento de materiales con pulsos láser de alta energía, y restauración y limpieza de superficies con láser, abarcando física de materiales y tecnología láser aplicada.
