El Dr. Alonso Castillo Ramírez es Profesor de Tiempo Completo en el Matemáticas del CUCEI. Es Licenciado en Matemáticas por la Universidad de Guadalajara, Maestro en Ciencias en Matemáticas Puras y Doctor en Matemáticas por el Imperial College London, en Reino Unido. Hizo estancias posdoctorales en la Universidad de Zaragoza y la Universidad de Durham. Es miembro del SNI nivel II, tiene un índice H de 7, cuenta con 21 artículos publicados en revistas indexadas, 3 volúmenes editados, 4 libros de texto y 5 artículos de difusión.
