Profesor del Física del CUCEI de la Universidad de Guadalajara. Licenciado en Física por la Universidad Autónoma de Zacatecas, Maestro y Doctor en Ciencias en la Especialidad de Física por el Departamento de Física del CINVESTAV-IPN. Miembro del SNI nivel 1, índice H de 14, cuenta con 600 citas y 68 artículos. Sus líneas de investigación son síntesis de nanoestructuras por ablación láser, síntesis de materiales para energías renovables, sustentabilidad energética y remediación ambiental, caracterización de materiales.
