El Dr, Bautista Herrera es profesor del Centro Universitario de Ciencias Exactas e Ingenierías de la Universidad de Guadalajara. Es Químico Farmacobiólogo, con Maestría y Doctorado en Ciencias Biomédicas, además de pertenecer al Sistema Nacional de Investigadores, como investigador nacional nivel 1. Sus líneas de investigación abordan el estudio de la autoinmunidad y el cáncer de mama en sus bases moleculares, genéticas e inmunológicas. Cuenta con publicaciones nacionales e internacionales en revistas indexadas al JCR, así como la participación en congresos y foros de difusión y divulgación del conocimiento científico.
