Dr. OMAR PAREDES
Resumen curricular:
El Dr. Omar Paredes es profesor del Centro Universitario de Ciencias Exactas e Ingenierías de la Universidad de Guadalajara y el actual responsable del Centro de Innovación y Emprendimiento. Su tesis doctoral ha sido reconocida por parte del Gobierno de Jalisco con el Premio Estatal de Innovación, Ciencia y Tecnología 2024 que premia a iniciativas cuyos resultados contribuyan a la solución de retos sociales, a la competitividad de los sectores estratégicos y al desarrollo científico-tecnológico del estado. Ha impartido clases en el Tecnológico de Monterrey, donde también ganó el Fondo Creativo 2021 que premia iniciativas que integran ciencia, arte y sociedad. Sus esfuerzos académicos se centran en la comercialización del capital científico y de conocimiento, buscando que el científico se convierta en inventor y el inventor en emprendedor. Ha colaborado con empresas para desarrollar tecnologías basadas en sistemas inteligentes, como IVF 2.0 Limited donde es consultor para el desarrollo de inteligencias artificiales para embriología y reproducción asistida. En el rubro científico, es actual miembro nivel I del SNII y forma parte del Laboratorio de Innovación Biodigital donde sus líneas de investigación incluyen conectómica, ciencia de ciencias, biología de la información y decisión inteligente. En sus intereses personales se encuentra romper la barrera del público científico hacia cualquier público a través de la difusión y apropiación de la ciencia.
